2017 Fees and Fee Schedule

2017 Goshen Refund Policy

If the unit cancels, the deposit payment (the cost of one Scout) is forfeited.


If an individual cancels, a replacement scout may be found OR a refund may be requested.

  • Replacement Scouts: Camp fees for one Scout may be moved to a new replacement Scout within the unit. To qualify for the transfer, the replacement Scout should have made no prior payment. As a unit, please keep track of Scouts who have paid, canceled, and are being replaced. (Campers Aid recipients cannot move their scholarship money to a replacement Scout.)
  • Refund Requests:
    • On or before June 15, 2017: A refund of 85% of registration costs will be granted by request. Only requests from unit leaders will be honored (parents, please work through your unit to receive a refund). These requests must be received electronically by Goshen Camping Administrator, Calicoe Ashley, at the email address [email protected] with the subject line, “Goshen Refund Camp Ross Unit [unit number].” Refund request letters should name the no-show camper, unit, camp, week, and state the reason for missing camp.
    • After June 15, 2017: Registration costs will be forfeited.


Non-registration fees (i.e. hat embroidery, bus tickets, ATV, shotgun, Wilderness First Aid, etc) are non-refundable. All refunds will be subject to a final review in the Council office before the check is issued. Online payment options will be credited where possible, or paper checks will be issued to the unit.

2017 Camper Aid Information

The National Capital Area Council Campership Funds are possible because of great donors. A special thank you to the Augustine and Dixon family for sharing their resources for Scouts in need. Please follow the guidelines and print legibly.


“A Scout is Thrifty” – As part of the Scout Law, every Scout is to learn to pay their own way and save for the future. Please maximize your Scout’s opportunity and participate in annual Popcorn sales, Camp Card sales, other unit money earning projects, and odd jobs like mowing lawns, raking leaves, snow removal, washing windows, weed removal, yard clean-up, washing cars, and more.


Parents/Guardians: Camperships are granted based solely on financial need. Please complete this application, indicating your financial situation and why you feel financial aid is necessary. Assistance is normally granted for up to 50% of the camp attendance fee. All awards are granted based on the availability of funds.

2017 Goshen Bus Information

Once again this upcoming summer of 2017 Goshen will be offering a bus service from the greater Washington, DC area directly to your individual camp. Units may take advantage of the Goshen Bus(es) chartered by the council or provide their own transportation. Please refer to the Goshen Parent/Leader Guide for rules and regulations for bus transportation and camp arrival. All tickets are round trip and may be purchased through your Goshen coordinator. Units are expected to provide at least one adult to ride on the bus with their campers.

Camp Ross staff encourages units to please utilize the bus service, or car pool as much as possible. There is limited parking at Camp Ross and cars not only damage our wilderness at camp but take away from our rustic look. We ask that each unit please bring down as few cars as possible to camp.
